Michael's journey into radio presenting began in 2005 when he joined Luton & Dunstable Hospital Radio.  Having recently returned to the UK from working in Belgium, he quickly became known as 'Mike Mussels from Brussels.' Over the next few years, he entertained listeners with The Feeling Better Show and The Blue Rinse Show—the latter aimed at brightening Saturday afternoons.

After a break, Michael returned to the airwaves in 2024, joining Northamptonshire's Beat Route Radio where he presented Drive Time and The Thursday Brunch Show.  In 2025, he moved to NLive Radio, a community station for Northampton, where he continues to host engaging shows.
